Dutch Startup CUbIQ Technologies Secures prestigious NWO Take-off Grant to Develop Quantum Secure Coherent Engine

Eindhoven, NL – CUbIQ Technologies, a Dutch startup based out of Eindhoven University of Technology, has secured the prestigious NWO Take-off grant 2 from the Dutch Research Council (NWO (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek)). This funding will allow the company to continue developing its quantum secure communication engine that is 100x lower in cost and power consumption than existing solutions. The engine will enable quantum secure transceivers almost the size of a USB stick, making it easy to deploy and integrate into existing networks.

Key highlights

CUbIQ’s quantum secure communication engine offers several key advantages over its competitors. First, it is significantly more affordable, lowering the barrier for the introduction of quantum security. Second, it is highly efficient, consuming lower power than what is currently available on the market. The engine enables compact and easy to deploy quantum security solutions, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Target Market

CUbIQ Technologies is targeting the $3 billion quantum cryptography market by 2028. The company’s technology is ideal for use by organizations for a range of use-cases in government, healthcare, and finance, where data security is critical. Transceivers enabled by CUbIQ’s solution can be used to secure sensitive communications between different locations, ensuring that data remains confidential even in the face of developments from quantum computers.
